Plot summary
Willy Loman has worked on the road as a traveling salesman for his entire life. In his younger years the job went well and paid him a reasonable living. He is sixty now, the contacts he made over the years have retired or died, and his company has taken away his salary and pays him on straight commission. At home his wife Linda supports him while he talks to himself and shouts at the people around him. Their son Biff returns after several months in jail, and he and his father clash. Willy slips between the past and the present, trying to find the point where he went wrong.
