Plot summary
On Christmas Eve, when Alex Torme was a boy, his father's business associate Norman Perkins shot his parents over a financial dispute while wearing a mask made from the pelt of a fox, then turned the gun on himself. Alex and his older brother Jack survived, and Alex, now an aspiring writer, still dreams of Perkins stalking him. Jack has taken over the family business and presses Alex to join it, while Alex begins dating Maggie Kallir, a dance student from New York City. Alex also finds a fox mask in the house of his friend Danny, a comical prankster.
