Plot summary
Johnny Petrie turns eighteen and learns two things on the same day: he was adopted, and a farm in Maine that belonged to his birth family is now his. He leaves home and travels there. The farmhouse has been abandoned since his birth family died in it, and a squatter named Emma has been staying in the house. The place holds secrets that put Johnny's life in danger.
