Plot summary
Marbles makes his living by putting the bereaved in touch with their dead, a trick that depends on a homemade drug: marijuana mixed with the neurological medicine his late father took. Officer Jayson Tagg, who wants to be a super-cop, is on the trail of a serial killer when he is murdered. He appears to Marbles and asks for help finding whoever killed him. Marbles has a problem of his own, since his mother plans to sell the family farm, and buying the house from her would take money he does not have. Tagg offers it in exchange for his help. The two rub each other the wrong way as they work the case, crossing paths with ghouls and a hooded figure.
