Plot summary
The Mighty Ducks are given scholarships to play junior varsity hockey at Eden Hall Academy, the Minneapolis prep school their coach, Gordon Bombay, once attended. Team captain Charlie Conway is growing from childhood into adolescence, and two teammates, Dean Portman and Jesse Hall, turn their scholarships down. Bombay takes a job with the Junior Goodwill Games and leaves the Ducks, and Ted Orion, a former NHL player, becomes the new coach. Orion runs a strict two-way hockey system and sets aside the Ducks' unconventional plays, which puts him at odds with Charlie. The school's varsity team, the Warriors, dominates Eden Hall and bullies the newcomers, and Adam Banks moves up to their roster.
