Plot summary

On the way to Denver for her wedding rehearsal, Mallory Rutledge takes a video call from her sister Ella, who has not bought her plane tickets because she wants to be sure Mallory is in love and happy with the decision. Mallory answers in a voice that does not sound like her own and ends the call. The car then breaks down and her phone has no service. While changing her clothes behind the car she meets Christian, who gets the engine running. She drives off, then stops out of guilt and offers him a ride. As they travel he acts oddly and talks about fate. She tells him to get out, and he pulls a knife and orders her to drive.
