Plot summary
Slim Walding runs a bar. He pays a Croatian man to kill someone who has not paid a debt. The killing goes ahead, and the Croatian leaves the antique pistol he used at the scene; the pistol belongs to Slim, so the murder points back at the man who arranged it. Driving away, he hits a stranded motorist by accident. He then hides in a house nearby and holds a young woman, Marilyn Burns, there against her will.
