Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel (2011) on Netflix

Plot summary

The documentary traces the long career of Roger Corman, a producer and director of low-budget movies who works outside the major Hollywood studios. It follows his path as a pioneer of independent filmmaking and his eye for new talent, along with the studio and distribution company he created to handle his own pictures. Much of the account comes through interviews, with actors, directors, and others talking about him and his methods. Corman appears as well, giving his own account of the work. Reviews were mostly positive, though some critics found the film frustrating, and others complained that several of Corman's more acclaimed movies go unmentioned.
