Plot summary
Lee has built a successful medical practice as an obstetrician. Talking to women away from it is another matter, and there his confidence fails him. A minor injury puts him in a wheelchair, and during that stretch he meets Alex, the woman he has been waiting for. She gives him her attention, and he comes to believe the chair is the reason she noticed him at all, rather than anything about the man in it. The injury heals, and he keeps using the wheelchair anyway, hoping to win her affections.
