Plot summary
A skiing accident has left Sondra with a broken leg, and she is at home while Ben, an architect, is away for work. She opens Hal, the computer that runs the house, and finds Ben taking part in chats on American Love Online. Answering in his name, she reaches one of his online friends, Lynn, and they arrange to meet that night. Her sister Misty comes to the house to look after her. A hacker, Werther, joins the exchange and shuts Sondra out.
