Plot summary
Ella Patel is 37 and has no interest in having children. Her friends and family press her, and her father, the grandchild of Holocaust survivors, wants her to reconsider. Her husband, Aiden, suggests she see Dr. Webber for breast cancer screening. There Ella describes her fear of childbirth and wishes her biological clock would switch on. Dr. Webber tells her the clock might be broken and raises an experimental study. Ella joins it while claiming to be busy with a work project. Dr. Elizabeth Simmons offers to fix the clock with an implant and hormones, and Ella starts the pills.
