Clay Pigeons (1998) on Netflix

Plot summary

Clay Bidwell has been sleeping with Amanda, the wife of his best friend Earl. Earl finds out and confronts him in a field, then turns the gun on himself, wanting the death to look like Clay's doing. Amanda refuses to help Clay cover it up, not wanting the town to learn about the two of them, so he wrestles Earl's body into Earl's pickup and sends it down an incline to burn. After the funeral Amanda comes to him and presses him to continue, and guilt makes him hold her off. In a bar he befriends a stranger named Lester Long, who sees Amanda's behavior for himself. Clay also dates a waitress named Gloria.
