Plot summary
Tina and Tom have come to Malta for a destination wedding, and friction between them is already showing: secrets go unaddressed, and Tom gives little support to Tina's anxieties. His best man Rick arranges a three-hour private catamaran cruise on the Mediterranean after the ceremony, and Tina, who is afraid of the ocean and cannot swim, is pressed into going. The party aboard includes Rick, their friends Rachinda and Britney, Tina's younger sister Sadie, and the local skipper Captain Daniels. Once the catamaran is far from shore, a great white shark attacks it, ramming the hull again and again. The captain is badly hurt, the vessel is damaged and taking on water, and the radio no longer works.
