Christmas Perfection (2018) on Netflix

Plot summary

Darcy designs greeting cards and has wanted the perfect Christmas since she was a child, picturing one like the Irish village she saw in a Christmas-store window. Her parents, Sylvia and Bill, argued through her childhood and divorced, so every year she rebuilds that village model at home and controls every detail. Tom, a copywriter at her company, belongs in her idea of the day; her lifelong friend Brandon she treats as a friend only. After a Thanksgiving dinner for her family, Brandon and her co-worker Carmen falls short of what she wanted, she comes upon the Christmas store she thought was gone. Its proprietor, Elsie, gives her a figurine that looks like her, and when she sets it into the village model, she wakes the next morning inside the village itself.
