Plot summary
Mia Meijer is preparing for the Christmas Market Dutch Bake-Off, an event where her grandmother Ann's Kerststol, a Dutch fruited Christmas bread, seems likely to earn the Golden Rolling Pin. That hope is unsettled when Mia finds out Ann faced money problems and sold the deed to Windmill Way, land that has belonged to the Meijer family for generations. The purchaser is Brady Schaltz, a property developer and Mia's former boyfriend. Brady has to tell Mia and Ann that the family's heritage Dutch sawmill, known for ninety years of fine millwork and wooden furniture, is set to be demolished for a luxury resort.
