Plot summary
A Mumbai detective with a long record of blunders, Chatur Singh is suspended following an incident at Dadar Railway Station. Commissioner Rajpal K. Sinha reinstates him when no officer will take the security detail for Y.Y. Singh, a disgraced agriculture minister under arrest who has been moved to a hospital. Chatur and his deputy Pappu Panther screen the visitors to the ward, among them the minister's wife Savitri and his secretary Sonia Varma. The minister is then killed, and Sonia is taken into custody as a suspect. She refuses to answer any question, so Chatur lets her walk out, meaning to trail her and learn who ordered the killing. She slips away from him and surfaces in Cape Town; Chatur and Pappu must travel to South Africa to find her.
