Plot summary

Four political goons, Ashokan, Musthafa, Asif and Thomas, are on the run. Musthafa calls Arun, a medical student whose father was a veteran communist leader, and asks him to treat Ashokan, who is said to have hurt himself while fixing their jeep. Arun does not believe the injury came from any vehicle repair, and neither Musthafa nor Ashokan gives him a clear answer. They promise to let him go once he finishes. The group avoids being seen, leaving one hiding place when Theyyam performers approach and later resting at a house. Ashokan receives instructions from GK, a party leader. A murder investigation has the police searching the area, and protests have broken out in the town.
