Plot summary
Kaylee is an American Indian woman who boxed professionally. She lives in a women's shelter now, addicted to drugs, and waits tables. A sex trafficking ring took her younger sister Weeta and forced her into prostitution; Weeta is one of the many girls who disappear each year. The authorities take no interest, so Kaylee has been searching on her own. When she picks up a lead on where Weeta may be, she convinces a man who recruits girls for a local trafficking operation that she badly needs money. He photographs her, hands her drugs, and says he will contact a buyer who wants a Native girl. Kaylee goes along with the deal in the hope that it leads her to Weeta.
