Broke (2006) on Netflix

Plot summary

Marshall Tucker has finished his junior year of high school and wants to celebrate with a weekend trip to Canada alongside his closest friends. The drive north falls apart when Marshall's Chevy Nova quits as they set out. To salvage the plan, the group talks Vern into using his parents' minivan, which sits available while his parents spend a week away at a religious retreat. The friends never make it out of Chicago: a strange car accident leaves the minivan wrecked. Repairing it will cost a thousand dollars, and Vern's parents come home in a week, so the four of them have to find a way to raise the money.
