Plot summary
The documentary covers sixty days in which Britney Spears works on her return to music after her much-publicized personal struggles. Cameras go into the recording studio and onto the sets of the music videos for her singles "Womanizer" and "Circus", and follow her through rehearsals, press appearances and the 2008 Video Music Awards. She looks back at her first break-up, which played out in the spotlight when she was a teenager, and at her marriage to the father of her two sons, saying she married for reasons other than following her heart. She describes the conservatorship her father holds over her and says she wants to feel free. Dancing, she says, works on her like therapy, and she talks about her fans and how her music reflects what she goes through.
