Plot summary
Russell Carlisle runs an antiques store. Caroline Upton is a retired military officer who teaches Military History. With Christmas approaching, Caroline agrees to help Russell find the family of Orin Newton, an Army officer who served in World War II. Orin's dress uniform, his medals and a stack of love letters from Alice, the woman waiting for him back home, are in Russell's shop, and the two want to return these belongings to Orin's relatives. Epaulettes and insignia on the uniform give them their first clues to follow.
