Plot summary
Brian Regan's second stand-up special is built from a long run of routines. He talks about adults who still live with their parents, about newspapers, about how hard reading can be, and about long sentences and speed reading. He describes writing a script for Planet of the Apes, then reviews movies and amusement park rides built around them. Art, ballet, the opera, learning Spanish and a franchise in Pensacola get their turn. He moves to the courtroom: a no-nonsense judge, the ban on cruel and unusual punishment, loitering, slip and fall cases, drunk driving charges and jury duty. Game shows and cooking shows follow, then mules, people who claim to speak with the dead, pet psychics, Pluto and the committee that decides what a planet is.
