Plot summary
Andrew McCarthy comes up in 1980s Hollywood with a group of young actors who appear together in coming-of-age films after a run of successful teen movies. In 1985 a New York magazine cover story names them the Brat Pack, and the label stays with them; McCarthy explores what it did to their careers and their lives. Nearly four decades later he seeks out the peers and co-stars who shared those years, so that they can talk about their work and what came after. Several of the actors from those films speak about the period, the journalist who coined the term is interviewed, and some of the group declined to take part.
