Plot summary
Harry Brock is a businessman who brings his girlfriend Billie Dawn along with him to parties with politicians. Billie was a showgirl and is uncultured, and she innocently says things about politics that do not fit the occasion. Harry fears that her manners will hurt his standing, so he decides that she can be taught. He hires Paul Verrall, a reporter, to show her the ropes. Paul teaches her a few sentences that make her sound intelligent, and at a party she impresses the guests. While he is educating her, Paul kisses her, and he slowly falls in love with Billie.
