Plot summary
Cécile, a Parisian teenager, spends the summer on the French Riviera with Raymond, her widowed father, and with his girlfriend Elsa, a dancer. She divides her time between her boyfriend Cyril, her father and Elsa. Anne Larsen, a fashion designer and a friend of Raymond and of Cécile's late mother, joins them there. Anne is cultured and hard-working, and thinks of herself as a parent to the girl. She questions Cécile about school exams, which Cécile and Raymond do not take seriously.
