Trailer

Plot summary

Sach Jones has his tonsils removed, and when the operation is done he can sing in a voice he never had before. Slip Mahoney and the rest of the gang look for a way to make money from it. Slip's first idea is to get Sach hired at the Rio Cabana, a nightclub nearby, but the club turns him away. Slip is not put off: he talks Louie Dumbrowsky, who runs a sweet shop, into converting the place into a nightclub, Louie's Bowery Palace. Sach sings there, billed as the Bowery Thrush, and becomes a star, and the club's business booms.
