Plot summary
Bobbi Torres, a petty thief, drives her 1977 Ford Mustang across the New Mexico desert. Her sister Anna keeps calling to push her to leave Rhett, the boyfriend who mistreats her. At a remote gas station she meets Sheriff Bilstein, who offers her a soda and gets turned down. He stops her car later, claims she damaged the light bar on his cruiser, wants three hundred dollars and keeps her phone. The station's cash machine is broken and her card is refused, so the attendant buys her a beer and tells her to get out of the county.
