Plot summary
Roch Siffredi is a prominent gangster in Marseille in 1934. Capella, his closest friend and associate, is dead; his photograph rests above a coffin, and flowers and funeral wreaths fill the city. Siffredi learns that Volpone, a new arrival in the city, gave the order for the killing. Siffredi searches Marseille for the gang responsible and means to settle the score. Lola is his mistress. Inspector Fanti and Inspector Cazenave serve on the city's police force. Volpone has his own men, and Siffredi has his gang.
