Blood of My Blood (2015) on Netflix

Plot summary

Within the convent of Santa Chiara in Bobbio, Sister Benedetta faces an inquiry led by the head priest Cacciapuoti. Her accusers name her a sinner and a witch who seduced her confessor, Fabrizio, and made him break his priestly vows. Fabrizio's twin, the man-at-arms Federico Mai, arrives determined to obtain a confession from her, since only a solid one will win his brother a burial in consecrated ground rather than the donkey cemetery. In the present day, the derelict convent is offered for sale and the investor Ivan Rikalkov sees profit in it. The local state property inspector, Federico Mai, handles the deal, unaware that a cultivated man known as the Count has lived secretly in the former cloisters for eight years.
