Plot summary
More than a hundred years ago the people of a small town put Jacob Bradford to death, and he swore he would return. He comes back from the grave to settle the score with their descendants. The town is a college town, and the killings there do not convince the locals who have heard about the curse, police chief Brad McCormack among them. Bruce Fields, who belongs to a family said to be cursed, wants his son Matt to stay away from Jenny Bradford, a descendant of Jacob. Matt ignores the warnings and keeps his courtship going. Chief McCormack works with Janet Moore, a forensics officer sent from the metro force to help him, on evidence that includes weapons a century old and fires nobody can account for.
