Plot summary
George Woodhouse is a counterintelligence officer and interrogator at the National Cyber Security Centre. A top-secret program code-named Severus has leaked, and his superior, Philip Meacham, gives him one week to find the source. Five operatives are under suspicion. One of them is his wife, Kathryn, an intelligence officer herself. George invites the other four to dinner at his home: Clarissa, a satellite imagery specialist; her boyfriend Freddie, a case officer; James, a counterintelligence officer; and his girlfriend Zoe, the staff psychiatrist. George drugs the dinner to lower his guests' inhibitions and draws them into a psychological game meant to reveal what they know.
