Plot summary
Maurice is a reticent young homeless man getting by in Brooklyn, where he sleeps in parked cars at night. He comes to Bizarre, an underground club known for burlesque shows. The revues there celebrate self-determined sexuality and creative otherness, and Maurice is drawn to them. The two women who own the club both adore him, and he becomes part of the family they have chosen for themselves. He begins to bond with Luka, who is introverted.
