Plot summary
Champak Chaturvedi runs a theatrical troupe, and his two actors Bunty and Babla squabble constantly over which of them gets the hero's part. The troupe is hired to stage thirty plays in Britain, but on the day of departure its heroine, Anjali, backs out, so Champak travels without one. In London he tells the two men that whoever brings him a new heroine will play the hero. Babla asks Gullu, a cab driver, where to find one; Gullu misunderstands the request and sends him to a garden. Bunty follows him there, and two strangers walk off with their suitcase, leaving behind one packed with heroin. The local police take the two for drug suspects, and Commissioner J.D. Mehra tells them to stay in the country until they are cleared.

- Two songs on Bhagam Bhag's soundtrack borrowed from outside music: the background score for "Afreen" samples "Heaven on Their Minds" from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's musical Jesus Christ Superstar, while the music for "Signal" samples "Signal for Lara" by Super Blue.
- The soundtrack also includes a solo version of "Aa Khushi Se Khud Kushi Kar Le" sung by Sunidhi Chauhan that was never used in the movie; it was later remade with Shaan and included in the 2007 film "Darling".
