Plot summary
Papi and Chloe are newly married and share five puppies, Papi Jr., Lala, Rosa, Ali and Pep, whose running and mischief keep the house busy. Papi tells the pups stories about their ancestors, the Chihuahua Warriors. Chloe's owner, Aunt Viv, spends six months in the rain forest with her niece Rachel, collecting plants for medical research, so Sam, Papi's owner and Rachel's boyfriend, looks after the whole family. Sam brings them to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cortez, and finds out that the couple is behind on the mortgage and that the bank is set to sell the house. To raise the money, the dogs plan to enter a dog show and aim for its cash prize. Their old friend Delgado visits and asks Chloe to help him with a mission he will not explain.
