Plot summary
Andy Hanson, a payroll manager, has been taking money from his employer, and an audit now under way stands to uncover it; he intends to leave for Brazil. Raising the cash means bringing in his brother Hank, a divorced father short on child support money. Andy's plan is a robbery of the jewelry store their parents own, which he calls a crime without victims since the store carries insurance; an elderly employee, Doris, will be minding it alone, and no real weapon should be necessary. Andy stays out of it because he has been noticed in the neighborhood lately. Hank agrees unwillingly. Andy arranges to move the jewelry through a New York dealer acquainted with their father. Hank, keeping it from Andy, brings in Bobby, a thief he knows.
