Plot summary
Joe Bill "Rack" Racklin and Lonnie work as deputy sheriffs in the small Oklahoma town of Mangum. Off duty they hunt pigs and drink at the Thirsty Monkey, and the time that takes is why Rack's girlfriend Cammie walks out on him. His old flame Annie Streets comes back from Chicago to look after her ailing mother. Rack, Lonnie, and a fellow deputy, Skunk, arrest three local criminals together with Tito Garza, a Mexican drug lord who stole fertilizer meant for making methamphetamine. Tito is waiting to be handed to the FBI on federal charges when Annie goes missing after an evening out with Rack.
