Plot summary

Kal-El is sent from the dying planet Krypton toward Earth by his parents, Jor-El and Lara, and an alien parasite called Starro slips free of its holding tank in Jor-El's laboratory and hides aboard the ship, only to drop away during the journey. The child grows up in Kansas as Clark Kent, discovers his powers, becomes Superman, and marries Lois Lane. Their son, Jon, lives in Smallville and is annoyed by his father's many absences. On his eleventh birthday, Jon's heat vision appears, and Clark tells him he is Superman. He takes Jon to Gotham City to ask Batman about powers that may still come, and there Jon meets Batman's son, Damian Wayne, who is rude to him. Batman then reports that the Watchtower has gone silent.
