Plot summary
In 2013, a wish from a young cancer patient reached Make-A-Wish. Miles Scott asked to spend a day fighting crime as Batkid, the sidekick of Batman. Word of the request spread, and thousands of volunteers offered their help, together with city officials and businesses. On November 15, 2013, San Francisco was remade as Gotham City, the fictional home of Batman. The effort grew into one of Make-A-Wish's biggest and most elaborate projects. Costumed characters from Batman's world appeared, among them Batman, the Riddler, the Penguin, Catwoman and Superman. The documentary looks at why and how the event came about and uses footage shot live that day.
