Plot summary

Terrance Shade works as a psychologist and cannot find enough hours in the day for his children, Cynthia and Jake. His wife Leah asks the family to travel to her old cabin far up in the mountains, so the children can have a white Christmas. A year later Leah has died under mysterious circumstances, and Terrance takes the two children to that cabin for the holiday. Sheriff Howes hands him the keys, and the family finds the place stocked with supplies. Then noises and shadows begin to trouble them, and Terrance cannot tell his daydreams from what is happening around him.
