Plot summary
A hunter kills Bambi's mother, and the fawn grows up alone in the woods. He meets a doe, Faline, who becomes his mate and bears a fawn, and they teach their offspring about the dangers around them. A truck carrying toxic waste from Wilbexr Pharmaceuticals runs Faline down, and a company technician knocks Bambi out with a spade. He wakes beside her body, drinks from a contaminated river, and the water mutates him. Xana and her son Benji ride a taxi toward the family of Xana's husband Simon, and Bambi attacks the taxi, killing the driver.

- Samira Mighty originally auditioned for the role of Xana but was deemed "too young", joining the cast alongside Roxanne McKee, Nicola Wright and Tom Mulheron.
- For the scene in which Bambi flips the taxi over, a stunt team used punitive pistons and an additional car mounted inside a massive tube rolling on a motor, with a camera attached to a roll rig. The actors reportedly disliked shooting the scene.
- Unlike the earlier Twisted Childhood Universe films, which used practical effects, the animals in Bambi: The Reckoning were entirely computer-generated; Stephanie Bellgardt, head of Boiling Point Media, designed the model for Bambi.
- The crew wanted more practical effects for Bambi, but budget reasons and an unfinished design meant they filmed with only a stand-in hoof and two stand-in heads.
- During a scene where Xana comes face-to-face with Bambi, a large reflector was wafted near the actress's face to portray the deer breathing.
