Plot summary
At a cabin by Cutter's Creek, the bank robbers Denise, Vale, and Paulie are killed by an axe-wielding serial killer called the Axeman. Brian then arrives at a nearby cabin with a group of friends, and once they have settled in he tells them he got the place cheap because a family there was supposedly massacred by the same killer. Randy leaves the group to spy on Vivian. In the morning Doug fights with his girlfriend Cassidy; he believes she still cares for her ex, Brian, who is dating her best friend Stacy. Doug walks off into the woods by himself.
