Plot summary
The Traveler is lost in the wilderness with no memory of his name, his past, or how he came to be there. A small plane goes down nearby, and a child of nine survives the wreck. He sets off to find her and bring her out. A group of bounty hunters is on his trail, holding him answerable for a crime he has no recollection of, and they have more guns and more men than he does. The child, who may be only in his imagination, guides him and helps him piece his memory back together while he works out what happened to him.
