Plot summary

Aguilar de Nerha is inducted into the Assassin Brotherhood in 1492 Spain and charged with protecting Prince Ahmed of Granada from the Templar Order. The Templars, under Grand Master Tomás de Torquemada, have seized the prince so that his father, Sultan Muhammad XII, will surrender the Apple of Eden, a relic whose code can bend humanity's free will. In 1986 the boy Callum Lynch discovers that his mother Mary was killed by his father Joseph, an Assassin, and runs when gunmen come for Joseph. Grown, Cal waits on death row until Abstergo fakes his execution and brings him to a Madrid research facility, where Sofia Rikkin connects him to the Animus so that he can relive his ancestor Aguilar's memories. Aguilar and his partner María are sent to recover the prince.
