Plot summary
Sebastian Schlencht-Wöhnert leads an ordinary life as a bank teller in Potsdam, spending his free time making safecracking videos that nobody watches. News of a zombie outbreak in Nevada fills his television and his dreams. Then a comment on his latest video brings an invitation to a safecracking contest, and he wins it. The person who wrote it is Gwendoline Starr, a jewel thief, and she wants him for a crew: hacker Korina Dominguez, driver Rolph and gunman Brad Cage. Their target is three safes built by the locksmith Hans Wagner, now owned by billionaire Bly Tanaka and scheduled to be decommissioned within days. Sebastian has studied Wagner's work but has never cracked a safe in practice. Interpol's Delacroix has chased Gwendoline for years.
