Plot summary
Alan Jones works at a grocery store and has just lost his job. He goes looking for his coworker Ashley to propose, but sees her kissing his former boss and walks away. On his way home he is seized by a child genius, Igor, and brought to a warehouse lab run by Dr. Tanner Finski. One of Alan's eyes is cut out and fitted into the creature the two are trying to reanimate. Igor injects the monster with a regeneration liquid, and when Alan trips and sets the machinery running, the creature comes to life. A lightning bolt overloads the equipment, an interdimensional portal opens, and copies of the monster pour through before the portal pulls everyone to 1865, into the middle of an American Civil War battle.

- Eric Berger won the role of Frankenstein's monster partly because of his knowledge of classic Frankenstein films, and although he was initially wary of joining a local, low-budget production, his love for the character won out.
- Director Ryan Bellgardt cast John Ferguson as Dr. Finski because he had always wanted him for the part; Ferguson had played the horror host Count Gregore.
