Plot summary
Arjun, a nine-year-old prince of Hastinapur, lives there with his brothers, the Pandavas, and trains in warfare under Drona; no other student, neither his brothers nor the hundred Kauravas, matches his skill with arms. Duryodhana and the Kauravas resent the Pandavas, fearing they will take the throne, and the rivalry between the families intensifies as king Dhritrashtra grows older. To avoid further conflict, Dhritrashtra proclaims Duryodhana crown prince of Hastinapur and gives Yudhishthira rule over a distant and unkempt territory. The tale is told by a maid, Brihannala, to the young prince Uttar of Viratnagar, who asks to hear the story of Arjun.

- For the voiceover, Chaudhary used a theatre group run by K.K. Raina and Ila Arun, recording the actors interacting as a play instead of dubbing them from separate booths.
