Plot summary
Two days before the tournament final between India and Pakistan, the Indian batsman Viraj Sharma disappears in the Middle East. A tape reaches the authorities showing a man in a Pakistani team jersey who claims to have taken Viraj and warns that the match must not be cancelled. Gayatri Shubha Mishra, the External Affairs Minister, sends special task force officer Kabir Shergill to the United Arab Emirates with thirty-six hours to find him. There he runs into Junaid Ansari, a rookie Indo-Emirati officer who has never solved a case but knows the city well. Their search begins with hotel CCTV footage: Viraj left with a local woman, Samira Dalal, who says she took him to a friend's birthday party and that he left early.
