Arab Blues (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

Selma Derwich spent a decade practicing psychoanalysis in Paris. She returns to Tunis to open a practice of her own. Her younger cousin cannot see why she left the French capital, her aunt Amel is overbearing, and her uncle lends her the apartment above the family house for only a few weeks. In a city where people take their troubles to the beauty parlor or the hammam, patients are slow to arrive, and one who comes mistakes Freud's beard for a Muslim brother's. Getting the practice approved means a baffling round of bureaucracy, and a policeman named Naim keeps an eye on her movements.
