Plot summary
Hannah sits with her parents when a sharp pain strikes her side and a bulge rises, then stops. Sewing later, she pricks a finger as her boyfriend goes to bed. A stressful message the next morning stirs the pain again. At work, blood shows on the cuff of a dress she made, and her boss reprimands her. That night she pulls away when her boyfriend reaches for her side and invents an excuse to leave. Drawing at home, she sees the bulge take the shape of a monstrous head with small arms that mocks her until it bursts from her body, and she blacks out.
