Plot summary
Ben North, 27, works in marketing in Melbourne and shares an inner-city apartment with his flatmates Nick and Andy. He changes jobs, addresses and girlfriends whenever he feels like it, and at a launch party he lines up a date with Fleur, a model at the event, before telling his boss he intends to quit. His last day at the office falls on his birthday, though only a colleague named Katey notices, and that night his friends throw him a surprise party. The high school he once attended then asks him to talk to students about what he has achieved. He goes reluctantly and meets Jim, an Olympic archery medalist, and Alex, a human rights lawyer for the United Nations in Yemen.
